The KWS membership types

• ordinary members:
  companies operating or owning plants generating and distributing heat and/or electricity
  
• sponsoring members:
  companies interested in the aims of the association
  
• affiliated members:
  authorities and government facilities, technical-scientific associations, professional associations and similar organizations

The KWS acknowledges 194 power plant operators as ordinary members who operate power plants with a total steam output of 391.949 t/h.

• 7 institutions are affiliated members of the KWS.
• 20 companies are sponsoring members of the KWS.
• 31 members are located in 9 countries outside Germany.
